Message
We strive to enlarge the space of our tent. The Parish and Archdiocesan Shrine of San Isidro Labrador Ministry on Social Services and the Kasaka ni San Isidro Labrador, Inc. aimed at serving the needs of the lost, the least, and the last. In our journey as the social arm of the Archdiocese of Lipa in Cuenca, Batangas, we did our best to include in our programs the needy as how Archbishop Garcera wanted it to be. The fruits of the Pastoral Visit 2024 gave light to an even deeper understanding of our mission and goals for the people of God. Our existence as an organization is not only a compliance but a mission to spread the love of God through the spirit of Alay Kapwa.
This year, there is a seemingly visible increase in expenses, more than the donations that we have received. This may be seen as a loss for others’ point of view but never in our ministry. With the challenges we faced this year, especially the STS Kristine (Trami), a lot of people have been affected, especially in our municipality, but never did we look on it as the sole responsibility of others to help. Our initiative in responding to the needs of the evacuees and survivors serves as a manifestation of many volunteers and donors who are willing to help when challenges required. We have seen it as a learning experience to better prepare ourselves for the possibility that we can still do more and serve even better.
The year 2024 is, indeed, a year of grace to all of us. Despite the challenges and financial difficulties, we strive to have our Kasaka Resiliency Center – the fruit of our love for the poor; it is not a place of comfort nor elegance, but a place of sharing and giving. May we continuously grow in love as we share our time, talent, and treasure to the poor. We thank all our Kasaka donors, partner institutions/organizations, and individuals and groups who made all our programs and activities possible. This mission of ours is a mission of love for others as we enlarge the space of our tent and continue to grow as we join this pilgrimage of hope.
