As part of the organization’s thrust in promoting health and safety, the Kasaka ni San Isidro Labrador, Inc. in coordination with the Commission on Health Care of the Archdiocese of Lipa headed by Sr. Lhiza Balita, MCSH, MD, spearheaded the Malusog na Baga, Matatag na Kalusugan (MBMK) Tuberculosis (TB) Education, Awareness, and Prevention Program at Barangay San Felipe, Cuenca, Batangas last August 19, 2023. This program aims to spread awareness on Tuberculosis to help people understand it and prevent the spread of the disease. The speakers for this program were the trained MBMK speakers of the Archdiocese led by Sr. Lhiza, MSCH.
The program was led by Sis. Elvira Jobli, the ministry assistant coordinator, assisted by the Parish Pastoral Health Care Volunteer Coordinator, Dra. Cleofe Chavez, and the Catholic Women’s League. Aside from giving awareness, informative materials were given as well as food packs for the participants. This program is under Kasaka’s Kaunlaran Program: Health and Safety Promotion.
